BJP Kerala In-Charge Prakash Javadekar expressed strong confidence in the party’s prospects in Kerala, stating that rising voter turnout—driven largely by new voters—signals a desire for political change in the state.

Speaking in Pune, Prakash Javadekar said that first time and new voters are playing a crucial role in increasing voter participation. He highlighted that this surge in turnout reflects growing awareness and engagement among citizens, particularly the youth.

He emphasized that new voters have made a major contribution to the rising voter turnout, indicating a shift in the political landscape.

Javadekar further stated that the BJP is confident that the people of Kerala are voting for what he described as “real change.” According to him, there is increasing support for the BJP as voters look for alternatives in governance.

He claimed that this time people want a BJP government in Kerala, reflecting the party’s optimism ahead of the elections.

Highlighting key voter concerns, he said that the public is seeking progress, job creation, and a governance model free from corruption. He suggested that these issues are central to the electorate’s decision making process and that the BJP aims to address them through its policies.

He said that people want development, employment opportunities, transparency, and good governance in Kerala.

Javadekar also expressed gratitude towards voters for their participation and support, stating that their involvement strengthens the democratic process.

The remarks come at a time when political campaigning in Kerala is gaining momentum, with parties focusing on outreach to different sections of society, especially young and first time voters.

The statement reflects BJP’s campaign narrative centred on change, development, and increased participation by new voters, as the state heads towards crucial elections.

With voter turnout emerging as a key factor, the role of new voters is expected to significantly influence the outcome, making them a central focus in the ongoing political discourse.
