PUNE, MAHARASHTRA — Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde addressed multiple key issues in Pune, ranging from organisational strengthening of the party to national developments and cultural loss, reflecting the party’s active engagement on both political and social fronts.
Speaking about party activities, Shinde stated that a major Shiv Sena meeting is being organised in Pune district under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, aimed at reinforcing the party’s grassroots presence. He emphasized that the organisation is undergoing a structured expansion, with new contact heads being appointed across Maharashtra to enhance outreach and coordination.
According to him, responsibilities have been distributed among various ministers and office-bearers to ensure effective functioning at the local level. The focus, he noted, is on strengthening the organisation from the ground up, ensuring that party workers remain connected with the public and responsive to local issues. This move is being seen as part of a broader strategy to consolidate Shiv Sena’s base ahead of upcoming political challenges.
Shifting to a more somber note, Shinde also expressed deep grief over the demise of legendary singer Asha Bhosle. He described her passing as a significant loss for the nation, stating that her voice had mesmerized not just one but three generations, leaving an indelible mark on India’s cultural and musical heritage.
He recalled that millions of people grew up listening to her songs, which continue to hold emotional and artistic value. On behalf of the Shiv Sena family, he extended heartfelt tributes, acknowledging her unparalleled contribution to Indian music and the lasting legacy she leaves behind.
Addressing the Women’s Reservation Bill, Shinde termed it a historic and transformative decision. He stated that this is a landmark reform that previous governments had neither envisioned nor implemented effectively, despite years of political discussion on the issue. He credited the current leadership for taking concrete steps to bring the legislation into reality.
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA government, Shinde said that the Bill reflects a strong commitment to women’s empowerment and political inclusion, ensuring that women receive their rightful place in governance. He подчеркнул that the move will have far-reaching implications for India’s democratic structure.
Through his remarks, Shrikant Shinde underscored a blend of organisational focus, cultural respect, and policy support, highlighting Shiv Sena’s efforts to remain actively engaged in both political development and societal issues in Maharashtra and beyond.
