Pune, Maharashtra, India
Amid intensifying campaigning for the Baramati Assembly by-election, Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Dattatray Vithoba Bharne made a strong appeal to voters, urging them to support Sunetra Pawar as the official candidate.
Addressing people in Pune, Bharne referred to the political transition in the constituency, stating, “Everyone knows that Ajit Dada Pawar is no longer with us. Because of this, the by-election is being held in the Baramati Assembly constituency.” His remarks highlighted the context in which the bypoll has been necessitated.
He went on to emphasize the party’s backing for Sunetra Pawar, describing her as the chosen representative to carry forward the leadership and connect with the people. “Sunetra Vahini Pawar is our candidate, and through her, I have come here to make a request—an appeal—that you support her,” he said.
Bharne’s statement reflects a broader campaign push by party leaders, who are actively reaching out to voters and consolidating support in the politically significant Baramati constituency. The appeal underscores the importance being placed on unity and voter backing in what is shaping up to be a closely watched electoral contest.
The Baramati by-election continues to draw attention with senior leaders stepping in to rally support, as parties intensify efforts to secure a decisive mandate in the constituency.
